Bruce is a retired CPA and founding partner of Rukkila, Negro and Associates, CPAs, PC, located in Houghton, Michigan. Bruce has more than 30 years of small business tax, accounting and planning expertise. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Exit Planning Adviser (CEPA), Bruce provides clients with succession planning and business valuation services, including administration of the business owner(s) entire succession planning process.
Bruce has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, performing audits, business, personal, and estate and trust tax preparation, financial statement reporting, and small business consulting. Bruce specializes in valuation and exit planning of small, closely held businesses.
Bruce received his Master of Science in Administration Services from Northern Michigan University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Michigan Technological University. His professional memberships include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Exit Planning Institute, and he is a member of the AICPA’s section on Forensic and Valuation Services.
Bruce is a proud Army veteran, having served in Korea in 1971–72. He lives in Houghton with his wife of almost 40 years, Pat. Bruce and Pat have three adult children and two granddaughters.
